For that reason they are not capable of broadening the range of life choices and they are not able to improve their quality of life. Therefore when considering welfare for the mentally ill, it is important to think about the conditions and environment in which they can easily build relationships. In this paper I will discuss this question from the perspective of Sen's Capability theory and Social capital theory. By having social capital people with mentall illness are able to obtain the freedom to choose life according to their interests and values, and improve their capability. I would like to clarify through a case study what the characteristics of groups and organizations are that make it easier for people with mental illness to form social capital, improving their Capability and how institutional policy affects this making process. 2021-03-29T15:00:00Z
